Dr. Kellie Nelson’s passion for veterinary medicine began at a young age when a veterinarian visited her family farm to treat a calf and took the time to teach her about the condition and its management. That experience inspired her lifelong commitment to animal health and care.
She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University and began her career practicing small animal medicine in Tennessee before returning home to Florida.
Dr. Nelson is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships with her clients and believes that collaboration between pet owners and veterinarians is essential to providing the highest quality care. She has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and finds great fulfillment in helping her patients recover and thrive.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with her husband and their many pets, including two dogs, four cats, a bird, and three axolotls. In her free time, she enjoys escape rooms, scuba diving, and traveling.
